When I began my journey in the insurance industry, I had the privilege of working alongside my father, a true titan in the field. Over time, I branched out on my own and enjoyed a prosperous career. Despite this, I found that while my checkbook was being filled, my soul wasn’t anymore, leaving me feeling empty. So I retired and took a step back. In doing so, I was able to see the gaping void in our industry. There’s a very large group of people who are not being served and who need it the most. Take my grandparents as an example. On my dad’s side, they had nothing; they were on welfare. However, my grandfather had a small life insurance policy. He knew that if he passed first, my grandmother would be taken care of. His love and care carried her through until her passing. Unfortunately, the situation on my mom’s side was the polar opposite. They lived extravagantly; at or beyond their means, yet they had no plan or life insurance. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother went from everything to nothing in an instant.
